Hello, it's been a while! Lots to update on but meantime, I'm honoured that next month Granta will publish the second edition of my first book Forced Out in traditional 'mass' paperback and in June (on my mum's birthday) I will be amongst 99 other Black Britons #StillBreathing 📚
All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother. Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing mums out there. I was raised by a strong woman with 5 older sisters. After an awful week in the UK, here's to the end of violence against women by men around the world #EnoughIsEnough 💐
Each Christmas Eve since she passed, I remember my mum and the fun we’d be having as a big family in Liverpool. This year, I pause to think about those lost the world over to the Coronavirus, the homeless and the vulnerably housed. Here’s hoping you have a very Merry Christmas 🎄
Happy 40th Birthday to my niece. It feels like yesterday I was in Liverpool holding her in my arms and dropping her on the floor! Now she’s a strong woman and mum to three boys 🥳 xx
