I’ve just heard Tina Turner’s What’s Love Got To Do With It on the radio, and it reminded me of my trip to the theatre a couple of weeks ago with one of my closest friends Sara – it was a treat, from her of course.

We went to see Soul Sister at the Savoy Theatre, a musical tribute to the legend.

Tina’s music is pretty hard to get out of your head, and now I find myself praying for her to do just one more tour so I can go and see her in concert. Unfortunately I missed the icon in 2009, when she last performed in Manchester.

Some think she’s too old to take to the stage now, but I say ‘no’. You’re as old as the person you feel… and despite her being 72, her husband is 16-years younger!
