Same-sex unions were started by the Labour Party, not the Tories. The Conservatives just finished off, what had already been started.
Tory gloating about getting this through is making me nauseous.
Gay people change things, not politicians.
Forgive the past, but, let’s not forget it and what many gay people went through because who and what they are with homophobic policies pre-Labour. It’s all about the gay vote. It’s called politics.
Let’s not be disingenuous, because all ‘seems’ well.
Note to Conservative supporters: I’m aware civil partnerships were first proposed by a Lib Dem peer. My point was the start (clinically, incorporation) of unions, not proposal. Labour were in power, not the Liberal Democrats.
Rightly, credit where credit due still fits.
