Christmas is cancelled

mzl.xhvqglxy.320x480-75With this year being an eventful one for me culminating in Monday gone, Christmas is cancelled. It will be my first without a tree, and one not having bought a single present.

It’s not because I’m bah humbug, but simply that I don’t feel like celebrating. Sometimes when you don’t, you shouldn’t.

I do hope my family and friends have a wonderful time, though.

I’m mindful that, there will be a lot of people out there like me not celebrating the festive season for all sorts of reasons and no doubt this year will be a good time for me to reflect upon this.

Many throughout the world often go without, not just in December.

I don’t get it anyway… people running around like headless chickens days before Christmas for expensive presents, others often don’t want or need, only for the same items to be half the price or cheaper the next week in the January sales!

A friend yesterday said he felt sorry for me not having parents around at Christmas, but I said to him that there are people much worse off than myself this time of year.

I guess, you have to be thankful for the things you’ve had. I’ve been rich, in that department.

Anyway, wherever and whoever you’re celebrating Christmas and the New Year with I hope you have a wonderful time and that 2013 is good to you.

This has been a… enjoy the festive season, ‘View from the Bottom’.

Take care, Max x.
