It came to me before that, all the elected representatives whom I have received support from in My Fight for Justice belong to one party, Labour.
I hadn’t thought about it before consciously, but it has shaped my future politics.
I then realised that the three politicians who represent my constituency (Council, Assembly and Parliament) are all Labour and women, who stand-up for what they believe in without fear or favour. It say’s a lot, about a party.
Emily Thornberry MP
When no one else would support me, I went to Ms Thornberry for help and she has given me just that in her role as my Member of Parliament. Despite not knowing me, she never judged and just listened doing her own fact-finding which is all you can hope for. I will be ever grateful to her, for her continued support for some years now and I am proud to have her as my local MP.
Cllr Claudia Webbe
Ms Webbe like my MP, gave me her ear about how I could go about being heard in a way that had integrity and transparency. As her constituent too, she has given me much of her time and met with me at the Town Hall giving me that added confidence. She truly has been an ambassador for me and the good, and I can only thank her in this public way for her continued support.
Jennette Arnold OBE AM
I first came to know about Ms Arnold when I began to understand how the London Government works (Greater London Authority), and affects my everyday life as somebody who lives and works in the city. I have found her to be someone of an inspiration, who like my MP and Councillor is the elected member of the London Assembly for my constituency.
As I continue My Fight for Justice, I think it would be remiss of me to not acknowledge the kindness and support of these three strong women whom I have been lucky enough to have as my elected representatives.
This has been a… non-political broadcast, ‘View from the Bottom’.
Take care, Max x.
