Despite the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan with the loss of thousands of lives, the ‘Land of the Rising Sun’ is still a beautiful country and one you should go to if you can!
I truly love all things Japanese, the people and their culture and have made some good friends there. I’m yet to find a place in the world where I was treated so well, having visited twice.
The recent disaster hasn’t put me off going again, but made me appreciate the affect it will have had on the people, whom I have been around in several towns and cities including Tokyo, Yokohama, Kamakura, Hakuba, Nagano and Hakone.
When I win the lottery (Alex and I won £3 last week), Japan is the first place I’m revisiting. If you’ve got any spare cash, get a flight now – go on, take a taxi to the airport and GO!
This has NOT been an advertisement from the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), just my ‘View from the Bottom’ on a great country and people.
