Should gay couples be allowed to marry in places of worship?

On Tuesday 7 February at 6.55pm on Channel 4, 4thought.tv asks me ‘Should gay couples be allowed to marry in places of worship?’

As a Catholic, I believe that marriage should be open to everybody and that religious discrimination towards gay couples is unjustifiable.

The UK Coalition Government says same-sex civil partnerships can now take place on church property, but the majority of religions still discriminate against homosexual couples by not allowing gay weddings.

Is it fair that I had to marry my partner in Canada, because I am not allowed to in Britain?

As well as my contribution to #4thought, you can also read my ‘opinion’ article for The Lesbian & Gay Foundation‘I Am the Face of Marriage Inequality’.

This has been a… I support marriage equality for all, ‘View from the Bottom’.

Take care, Max x.
