Injustice Affects Everyone… Lost for Words

I regularly get Twitter tweets, Facebook messages, Linkedin messages and emails from people about My Fight for Justice, often informing me of their own experiences. One this morning speaks for itself, which left me lost for words

(Identifiable references removed, and permission sought from the female).

I just wanted to explain why I have taken your search for justice to heart. You see, I suffer from depression and anxiety myself and know how debilitating it can be. It takes me about an hour to work-up the courage to leave the house some days, and I know it can leave you feeling frightened and alone.

And my partner, Amanda who I have been with for 8 1/2 years has been wonderful, supporting me, and going out for me on the days where I couldn’t. She has been my hope and my courage for all these years, and I don’t know what I would have done without her.

Amanda is also mixed British Black Caribbean so we have had aspects of racism, although we are lucky that it hasn’t been to the extent you have suffered though there for the grace of God.

I was also bullied all the way through school, so know how demoralizing it can be. All of the aspects of your case speak to me, and I think you are so brave to do what you’re doing. It’s something I never had the heart to do, so I think in a selfish way I am living vicariously through you – I hope you don’t mind.

Please stay strong, know that there are people out there who are with you, who respect you and support you wholeheartedly in what you are doing. And please let me know if there is anything more I can do.
